Soccer is over for the season. I had been secretly hoping all week that it would rain so that we wouldn’t have to go to soccer today. That didn’t happen, it was a beautiful day. Ethan really enjoys soccer and he even scored a goal today. He never wants to scrimmage he won’t get in there and try and get the ball from other people. This frustrates Craig to no end and he says Ethan will never be a soccer star. I respond by rolling my eyes and reminding him that Ethan is only 2.

This week was completely sucky so I took advantage of needing to cheer myself up and taught Ethan something stupid and completely useless… I taught him to cross his eyes. It provided me with about 30 minutes of distraction and lots of giggles. It was surprisingly easy too. I just told him look at you nose and he got it. So we went back and forth crossing our eyes. The best part was after the giggles subsided Ethan looked at me and said “I love you mommy” Awww, I tell you that will help mend a broken heart.
