This recipe found it’s way into my inbox a couple of weeks before Ethan’s birthday and I knew I had to make them. These were seriously some of the best cupcakes I have ever had. My mouth still waters when I think about them. I can’t wait to come up with an excuse to make them again.
What you need
For the cupcakes
1 1/2 cups bisquick
3/4 cups sugar
1/3 baking cocoa
1/4 cup chocolate flavored malted milk powder
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
For the frosting
2 tbsp chocolate flavor malt powder
Frosting
2 tbsps chocolate malted milk
2 tbsp milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp cocoa
1/4 cup butter
- mix the ingredients for the cupcakes together and cook at 400 for 15 – 20 minutes
- mix the icing
- ice the cupcakes
yeah it’s that easy

Last week we completed MBTP lessons 5, 6, 7, and 8 and Right Start Math lessons 8 and 9. We are finishing up our study about environments and habitats. Ethan is pretty into it and likes to get the Animal Habitats book out and just flip through it. I’m still not to keen on the math but Ethan gets it and it seems to be working for him. I’m not a math person so maybe I wouldn’t be happy with any math that we did, who knows.

That’s the score of Ethan’s first football game. The kids did great!! I won’t lie I was so nervous Saturday morning that my stomach was in knots. I seriously thought I was going to puke on the way to the football field. Once there I was fine I guess the distraction of everything going on there made it better.
They walked on to the field to Metallica’s Seek and Destroy and I guess that is what they did. When our teams 7th 0r 8th fastest runner was able to run over 60 yards for a touchdown I knew that the chances were pretty good that we were going to win and supposedly this is our toughest competition, although our boys only play a total of 3 teams all season.
I think it’s going to be a great season and am really excited for Ethan and his team mates. I hope that he is having lots of fun and making life long friendships.
